The story behind our philanthropy

Simply put, we believe that people whose companies may not foster a proactive safety environment and people in countries that normally would not have access to our training should still be able to learn safer ways
to work.

We're in the training business because we believe in the importance of training. We are committed to safer people and safer workplaces. We want the world to be a cleaner, healthier, friendlier place to live in and be in.

So we had an idea a few years back for an experiment: we put a few crucial training topics online, offered them for free, and watched to see what would happen. We asked ourselves, would anyone find our training? Would people make use of it? Would they work more safely?

Here's what happened: over 10,000 people registered in the first two years (and more register every day). People from over 100 countries – in the Americas, throughout Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, India, China, Europe, and all around the world.

And they told us our training made a difference in their lives. They were able to take courses that weren't available in their companies or in their countries. They told us what a great opportunity we had presented, and what an impact our training had made in their lives.

So we have kept the program going, and formalized it by adding new elements like a professional community for global cooperation and communication, and a new and improved website and training delivery interface. And most recently, we've created an opportunity for entrepreneurs worldwide to build their own businesses around this training.

We continue to evolve our own ideas, and look forward to hearing yours. We're not in this to hoard resources – we started it in the spirit of sharing, and that's what we'll keep doing. Where do you want Global Training People to go?
